Daisy’s Round #2: Hot Tubs, Chatting, and Flirting!

From the original rules:

Day 2…At 12 noon, the first single sim must move out. (This is the Sim with the lowest score on Lonely Sim’s compatability bar. Add the top and bottom numbers together and the Sim who is least liked by Lonely Sim moves out. Now you have 6 single Sims and your Lonely Sim.
…Group Dates in the hot tub. Put Lonely Sim in a hot tub. (Randomly click on your single Sims as quickly as possible and direct them to go into the hot tub with Lonely Sim. Let them fight for the stairs. The first three sims who get there first can have their group date with your lonely Sim) Put the other 3 Sims in the other hot tub.
…After hot tubbing, it’s time for the 1 on 1 dates. Have Lonely Sim do 1 single “chat” with each single Sim.”

After Avery moved out, I was instructed to get into the hot tub, then the singles had to race to the hot tub to get a spot. The three who made it were Harper, Pat and Matt. The guys spent a lot of time chatting…Matt did most of the talking. I really like Matt’s personality, he is a lot of fun and he keeps things lively.

Next up I had one on one time with each of the singles. I was surprised to find that Cameron and I didn’t have as much in common as one would hope and our conversation was a bit awkward.

Harper reacted evenly more negatively to my conversation abilities! I was becoming concerned that my inexperience in life, and conversing with adults, was preventing me from forming connections.

But things began to turn around with Kitty and I’s one-on-one time…as usual, I found her incredibly sweet and a pleasure to talk to. She is simply the most caring person I have ever met.

As I have come to expect from Matt, fun and animated conversation filled our time together.

Pat and I also had a pleasant conversation…he has a great sense of humor. Although, Pat had fallen asleep…so he was in his PJs when we had our one on one time!

Unfortunately, I ended on a disappointing conversation with Yuri. He seemed a bit elusive about his past and it was just awkward.

The following morning, we had had another round of one-on-one time…with a bit more flirtation this time!

Disappointingly, Cameron wasn’t really interested in my attempts to get a bit closer. While I think Cameron is very attractive, I don’t think he finds me attractive…perhaps it is because I’m a PlantSim? I don’t know what it is…but I’m not really certain he is really invested in this process.

And if this wasn’t bad enough…the neighbor…Mr. McGreggor? or something…came over and started yelling at me!!! Does Cameron have a secret love that I don’t know about?

Fortunately, all my other attempts at flirting were very successful!

I’m still uncertain of my feelings for Kitty and Harper. I really like both of them, as friends, and I think I’m developing feelings for Harper. However, I’m not quite as attracted to them as I am to some of the others.

My interactions with both Pat and Matt went well…in fact, I’m very attracted to both of them. Perhaps I like first names that rhyme with “cat”?

Yuri and I also had a pleasant time. Yuri is charming and cute, but I don’t know if my attraction is on the same level with him as it is with Matt and Pat.

Now it is time to hand out the roses….

Rose number one goes to…..

Matt- he loves life and appreciates everything.

The second rose goes to…

Pat- he’s fun.

The third rose goes to…

Harper- we have similar wants and goals in life (well, besides her fascination with grilled cheese).

The fourth rose goes to…

Kitty- such a good person.

The fifth, and final, rose goes to….

….

Yuri- charming!

In an unexpected turn of events….Cameron, pack your bags and move out of the Mansion!

Some facts:

Daisy has a “crush” on the following individuals: Harper, Pat, Cameron, and Matt

Daisy has a 2 lightning bolt attraction (scale is -1 to 3) to: Pat, Cameron, and Matt; and 1 bolt for Yuri.

Daisy spent a lot of time following Cameron around and trying to get him to interact with her.

Poll Results So Far…

Cameron is in the lead with 60% of the vote! Harper has 20% of the vote, and Pat has the other 20%.

The Round 2 post will be up tomorrow around noon. Who do you think will be going home?

Daisy’s Round 1: Meet & Greet

Rules:

“Day 1… Meet and Greet. Let your sims do what they want, and talk to who they want.”

My first day at the Mansion was both nerve-wracking and peaceful at the same time. I was nervous to meet the contestants, of course, and particularly concerned about…well, about how they’d react to…you know, my being a PlantSim and all.

Much to my disappointment, practically everyone in the house was sick with the flu upon my arrival. Apparently, it was the remnants of a virus one of them picked up while they were at university. So, I guess there are some perks to not being able to attend university!

Everyone was very welcoming, but they were fairly low-energy due to their sickly state. Kitty is very interesting and friendly, we had a few nice conversations that made me feel at ease with the situation.

However, after the contestants made their obligatory introductions, I was left to my own devices for awhile. Fortunately, the mansion has a pool table, and I was able to entertain myself.

After practicing on my own for a while, Pat joined me for a game. He was quite enthusiastic about the games. In fact, after I had finished playing, I wanted to compliment him on his pool skills, but he just wouldn’t stop playing. Ah well, maybe we can actually converse later!

The evening dinner was a bit awkward…the mansion and the schedule are both setup to accommodate regular Sims. I, on the other hand, do not consume plant and animal tissue for nutrition, I absorb sunlight and produce my own nutrition. In addition, my room contains a bed for sleeping, but no grow light. In fact, I am so used to living in a home with a grow light…

…that I neglected to get enough sunlight before nightfall, and ended up passing out, outside in the cold.

I wasn’t the only one to pass out in the cold, however. Kitty insisted that the sky was too beautiful to ignore so she went outside and laid down on the hammock…and fell asleep. Fortunately, she managed to wake up before she froze to death!

Let’s see…my impressions of the contestants so far… I think Avery is quite nice, but he seems rather distant and hesitant. I don’t think he wants to be here. In fact, I may be inexperienced, but I am fairly certain he has his eyes set on Harper…and she reciprocates those feelings. Yuri is incredibly charming, and we are getting along very well. Cameron is a bit shy, but he seems pretty intelligent…and he has an interest in nature. Pat seems like a fun guy…but easily distracted. Kitty and Harper are both very nice. Matt has a cool and collected vibe about him that I appreciate.

My first rose goes to….

Cameron.

I wish to give the second rose to…

Yuri.

Third rose…

Matt.

Fourth rose…

Harper.

Fifth rose…

Kitty.

And the final rose goes to….

Pat.

Avery…say your goodbyes and leave the mansion!

Sophomore Year: Harper, Matt, Avery and Cameron

Oh my, things are getting awkward in this dorm. I’m not sure if I’ll let them speak this post, it may just be better if I give you my outside perspective.

Matt decided he wanted to learn about physiology, incredibly ambitious of him. This ended up resulting in Matt having a super-human ability to learn new skills. By the end of this year, he’ll have maxed body, obtained half of the skill points for creatively and cooking, along with at least one point in each of the other skills. Unfortunately, this is a game glitch. 😦 I got a hack that is supposed to fix it, but it didn’t fix Matt. At first, I thought it had as his logic-building ability was at a normal level. However, when he started painting it shot back up again. So, even with super-human powers, Matt isn’t the brightest bulb. I hope the hack prevents future Sims from having this condition, as it will make the game too easy and I’ll have to forbid them from studying physio. Oh, and this slowed my progress down immensely as I had to find, download, and setup the hack. So, you can blame Matt for the low post count this weekend.

While Matt’s charm leaves every woman he walks by shooting a stream of pink hearts from the tops of their heads, Avery has a hard time even befriending one.  Actually, over this semester I’ve developed an attachment to Avery as his inability to communicate with women is hilarious and I also feel terribly bad for him. His main problem is that he likes to joke around…a lot. Apparently, most sim women do not like a man who starts every conversation with a joke or prank. The above woman, Cathy, has really messed with Avery’s head. These two are absolute enemies…they argue, poke each other in the chest, slap each other, and…

…get into fistfights on a regular basis. I’ve discovered that I constantly need to check on Avery in order to prevent him from being in a constantly bad mood due to Cathy. They battle multiple times a day. It’s INSANE. I’ve concluded that there has to be some weird sexual tension between the two that causes them to seek each other out several times a day, but they can’t stand each other, so they use each other as a bunch bag to take out their frustrations.

Harper adopted a wormrat she named Panda. At first, Panda lived in her room; however, Panda’s squeaky wheel kept waking her up. So, now Panda lives in the hall where he gets tons of affection from the rest of the dorm. Panda has a good life.

Seeing her best friend’s difficulties with Cathy, Harper decided to study anger management to prevent a similar situation from happening to her in the future. Harper doesn’t like confrontation and wishes everyone would just get along (and eat Grilled Cheese, and play with Panda).

A magic lamp was left on the doorstep. Cameron found it, rubbed it, and out popped a genie! The genie offered to grant Cameron three wishes. Being a fortune Sim, Cameron wished for wealth…and it worked! The dorm funds are very well off now. Cameron was satisfied with the results of his first wish, so left the other two for his friends. Avery wished for the power to cheat death. We have yet to test to see whether it worked. The final wish went to Harper, as Matt was busy on a date with Cathy (yes, Matt is totally woohooing his good friend’s mortal enemy). Harper wished simply for peace of mind, and she has been happy ever since.

Matt has worked his butt off…in a somewhat literal sense, as he is now in excellent physical condition. He’s got to be for the ladies, you know.

Matt takes his wooing (and woohooing) seriously. He took Aurora out to a fancy restaurant and let her order anything she wanted from the menu (while mentally thanking Cameron for the wealth wish!). They had a romantic evening, which they capped off with a woohoo in the photobooth.

The boys decided with their new-found wealth to make a purchase to improve the quality of life in the dorm, so they invested in a bubble blower. So far, it’s been a good investment.

While on his date with Aurora, Matt found his next true love.

And we know where that led.

The only female who responds well to Avery is his best friend, Harper. Avery and Harper are, surprisingly, very close. Harper’s seriousness makes this an unlikely pairing, so I find their friendship an intriguing puzzle. It developed entirely on its own accord, as I tried to keep the contestants from fraternizing all that much. Avery pulls pranks and tells jokes to Harper, but she enjoys it. Who said serious Sims don’t have a sense of humor?

Here is the awkward and difficult part. Avery has a crush on Harper. I’m fairly certain if I allowed a single romantic interaction to occur, they’d be done for an out of the competition. Sigh. The romantic in me is half tempted by this! But alas, they are here for a reason.

Compounding this issue is the fact it seems to be…well, mating season in the dorm. ALL the contestants are popping romantic wishes, not just Matt. In fact, all of Avery’s wishes at the present time are romantic ones.

So, I attempted to divert his attention away from Harper and to the lovely maid….

But she denied him a simple conversation…he didn’t even attempt a joke.

Poor Avery, you are hopeless man.

So, that wraps up this year. What’s that? What about Cameron? Oh, he’s still around…but….hmm…he didn’t really do anything *interesting* this semester. He’s a quiet drama-free guy at the moment. He is saving money to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a…space pirate.

All the Simmies scrapped by with passing marks again:

Avery- GPA 3.5

Cameron- GPA 3.1

Harper- GPA 2.5

Matt- GPA 2.2

Freshman Year: Matt, Avery, Cameron and Harper

Here’s the crew….Avery, Matt, Cameron and Harper standing outside their new dormitory at Sim State University.

Avery: “Well, that was a surprisingly dull year compared to our last freshman year.”

Harper: “Last freshman year? What are you talking about?”

Cameron: “Oh, the three of us have already done this post.”

Matt: “Yeah, but then somebody had to go and delete the game.” :::glances at host::::

Host: “I didn’t mean to…I swear.”

Avery: “Anyway, last time with did this we had three times as many pictures.”

Cameron: “But 75% of them were of Matt…”

Avery: “He did get into a lot of lady trouble last year, including a fight with a lesbian dressed as a mascot. Oh, and he almost flunked out and had to get Leo to write his term paper for him.”

Matt: “It’s all about who you know.”

Narrator: “Let’s move on to this year, boys…”

Cameron: “Avery seems to bring out the playful side in everyone he meets. Harper here is a tad serious, but Avery always gets her joking around.”

Avery: “That’s what I do. I even got Mr. Cool,” :::points to Matt::: “to jump on the couches with me.”

Matt: “You need to get Cameron to lighten up, Avery. His new obsession with the computer is getting pretty lame.”

Cameron: “I’m doing online financial consulting. I’m trying to start saving for my future.”

Avery: “Aren’t you a biology major? Why didn’t you study economics?”

Cameron: :::shrugs::: “I like being outside.”

Matt: “First addition to the dorm.”

Avery: “But only you benefit from it…and you spent more than your share of the funds.”

Matt: “I require more space. I’m taller than average you know.”

Harper: “Umm….sorry Matt, but the parameters of the game require us all to be the same height.”

I came to get down, I came to get down, so get out of your seats and jump around, jump around, jump up, jump up and get down…

Harper: “Even with the maid I hired, the dorm is constantly a mess. People really need to pick up after themselves. We had cockroaches! Thankfully I had enough sense to call the exterminator.”

Matt: “Nice pjs, Harper. Are they silk?” :::eyebrow waggle:::

Harper: :::smacks Matt on the arm:::

Cameron: “I’m so glad you bought that sewing machine, Harper! I didn’t realize it could be so much fun.”

Matt: “Dude, you are such a nerd.”

Harper: “Oh, that was an awful spell when we were all getting sick with the flu! If we kept a cleaner dorm, this wouldn’t happen you know.”

Avery: “Love the dartboard. Every place of residence needs one.”

Avery: “I think we should refer to that as Matt’s ‘signature move’.”

Matt: “The ladies love it, man.”

Cameron: “How many ladies do you now have in the palm of your hand?”

Matt: “Three. Whatever her name is,” :::points to picture::: “Aurora and Lauren.”

Cameron: “You don’t even know her name? That’s Cathy. She lives right upstairs!”

Avery: “Lauren? Wait…no…do you mean Professor Lillard?”

Avery: “Aaahh!” :::hides behind Cameron::: “Please no more grilled cheese! They haunt my sleep!”

Matt: :::laughs:::

Cameron: “You do make a lot of grilled cheese, Harper. Not that I mind, I always appreciate people making food. Nice change from the normal cafeteria food.”

Harper: “I’m trying to perfect them! I believe I’m about to make a breakthrough.”

Avery: “Harper, are you a Grilled Cheese Sim?”

Harper: :::shakes head::: “No, Family Sim, but Grilled Cheese is my secondary.”

Avery: “Interesting. I imagine your Family aspirations are a bit stuck while at university, perhaps your secondary aspiration is kicking into overdrive to compensate?”

Harper: “Perhaps. Would you like a sandwich?” :::offers a plate of grilled cheeses while munching on one:::

Avery: “Oh dear. I was wondering if that picture was going to make it in.”

Harper: :::drops sandwich::: “Are you BATHING in the kitchen?”

Avery: “The showers were occupied and I smelled funny.”

Narrator: “And on that pleasant note…so ends our recap of freshman year. They all managed to pass this year. Avery with a 4.0 GPA, Cameron and Harper with a 3.0, and Matt with a 2.0.”

Teaser: Matt, Avery, Cameron and Harper!

Right to Left: Avery, Cameron, Matt, Harper

The redo of the first freshman year is complete! I will likely get the post written tonight and have it set to publish tomorrow.

This year was completely different from the previous year that was deleted. The last one was a little more crazy with Matt trying to hook up with every girl in the dorm, drama with the cow mascot trying to steal Matt’s ladies, and a slew of girls that had taken to dancing in front of Avery. This version of Matt is a bit less….lustful. He is striving to *befriend* every girl he meets, but he is a bit more patient than the last incarnation. Avery is a bit more exciting this time around, or at least has more energy. Cameron is a bit more quirky this time and has an obsession which I’ll explain in the post. Harper’s secondary aspiration appears to have taken over her life which provides some humor. Surprisingly, they all managed to pass this year. I don’t have high hopes for Matt graduating smoothly. I’d be surprised if he didn’t get on academic probation at least once.
